On Tuesday 6 May 2025, the HUG and the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine celebrated the physicians promoted in 2024 during a vibrant ceremony. This first event inaugurates a new tradition dedicated to the key stages of a career in medicine.
Through this symbolic moment, the HUG and the Faculty of Medicine are affirming their shared desire to promote career paths, to strengthen the links between training and clinical practice, and to celebrate the talents that contribute every day to the excellence of the healthcare system in the service of patients.
In front of a large audience, including heads of department, colleagues and family members, more than 400 physicians were honoured for having been appointed Staff Physician, for having been board certified, or for completing a doctorate in medicine or an MD-PhD in medical sciences. Congratulations to all!
The representatives of the two institutions paid tribute to the commitment, perseverance and excellence of the health professionals, while stressing the fundamental role of training in the development of academic and clinical medicine. The event was attended by:
