Dr Eva Brú Tarí – Co-Chair of the Diabetes Centre

Dr Eva Brú Tarí is a translational biologist specialising in pancreatic alpha-cell biology and diabetes. As a postdoctoral researcher at the ÓñÃÀÈË´«Ã½, she investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying islet cell function and plasticity, combining human primary islet cultures with multi-omics technologies and cellular reprogramming approaches.

As Co-Chair of the Diabetes Centre, she plays a key role in shaping its scientific and strategic direction. Her expertise in translational research, commitment to teaching and mentorship, and active involvement in international scientific networks, such as the Early Career Academy of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD),Ìýhelp strengthen the Centre’s national and international profile. She also champions innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the advancement of early-career researchers in the field of diabetes and metabolic diseases.
