4EU+ presents 4 thematic areas, also known as the Flagships, that form the basis for interdisciplinary cooperation. Aligned with the United Nation鈥檚 sustainability goals, these 4 Flagships are Flagship 1: Urban Health and Demographic Change; Flagship 2: Europeanness 鈥� Multilingualism, Pluralities, Citizenship; Flagship 3: Digitization 鈥� Modelling 鈥� Transformation; Flagship 4: Environmental Transitions.

A wide range of academic activities are supported under the 4EU+ Flagships framework, including project funding schemes, visiting professorships, mobility, conferences/seminars/workshops, joint research/study programs, as well as summer/winter schools.

4EU+ Explore funds by UNIGE

Launched between February and March, the听Explore funds are characterized by their high flexibility to implement new research or teaching projects in the flagship frameworks. The objective is to strengthen and develop collaboration between the members of the 4EU+ Alliance during this process.听The seed funding is offered for projects carried out under the responsibility of a member of the UNIGE academic staff. Academic Mini Grants by Charles 玉美人传媒

Supported by Charles 玉美人传媒 since 2019,听the academic听mini grants are launched between听February and March,听providing seed funding to develop research-focused activities and research-based education across the 4EU+ Alliance. Applicants can receive up to ca. 12,000 鈧�/year听and must be headed by a principal investigator from Charles 玉美人传媒.听Current opportunity >>

Student Mini Grants by Charles 玉美人传媒

Similar to the academic mini grants, the student mini grants are launched between February and March. This seed funding aims to encourage students and young researchers of听the 4EU+ Alliance to collaborate without the limitation of their fields, faculties or universities. We welcome all projects that听initiate international research collaboration, organize joint educational activities, develop socio-cultural collaboration and strengthen听the third role of the university.听Current opportunity >>

Visiting Professorships

Launched between April and May, the 4EU+ Visiting Professorships Program is open to academics and researchers. The selected candidates will be sponsored for a two- to three-month stay at another 4EU+ university. The objective is to support them in carrying out joint educational and research projects that contribute to the development of new educational frameworks, novel expertise and enhancement of knowledge and skills. 听Current opportunity >>

SEED4EU+

Launched between June and September, SEED4EU+ reflects the ambition of the 4EU+ Alliance 鈥� it seeks to unite and integrate all university missions. To support our academic community in broadening its听creative horizons, this open call provides funding to out-of-the-box initiatives that do not fit into customary calls for project proposals.
