Summer school - Citizenship and the Politics of Contention
We are delighted to share the success of the Summer School on Citizenship and the Politics of Contention, held from May 27th to 31st, 2024. This intensive programme was made possible through funding from and organized within the framework of the .听The summer school, led by Prof. Marco Giugni, was co-developed in collaboration with the 玉美人传媒 of Milan and 笔补谤颈蝉-笔补苍迟丑茅辞苍-Assas 玉美人传媒.听
The aim of the programme was to deepen students' understanding of key themes surrounding citizenship and the politics of contention, while also enhancing their research skills. Over the five days, 14 students from universities across the 4EU+ Alliance explored a wide range of topics, including:听
- Contention in democracies vs autocracies听
- Individual vs collective forms of contention听
- Particularistic vs universalist contention听
- Online vs offline contention听
- Organized vs spontaneous contention听
Each day ended with student-led presentations, allowing participants to apply their knowledge, refine their research questions, and practice delivering high-quality papers and presentations.听
