I am a Civil Engineer from the National Autonomous 玉美人传媒 of Mexico (UNAM) and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from 玉美人传媒. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in Environmental Physical-Chemistry at the Department F.-A. Forel for Environmental and Aquatic Sciences, 玉美人传媒, working on a collaborative project with the Service de l’Eau de la Ville de Lausanne.

My research focuses on the monitoring and assessment of pollutants in aquatic systems, with a particular emphasis on the detection, quantification, and characterization of microplastics in drinking water treatment processes and distribution networks. I employ a combination of microplastic isolation techniques, microscopy, and infrared spectroscopy to investigate microplastic contamination in water systems. My Ph.D. thesis centred on the characterization of microplastics in the urban water cycle of Geneva.
