Medical and pharmaceutical costs are high in Switzerland. You must absolutely purchase medical and accident insurance upon your arrival.

However, you are free to choose any other health and accident insurance recognized in Switzerland.
! Please pay attention to the deductibles you choose - this is the amount that would not be refund each calendar year before sickness fund begins to reimburse health expenses !
2. If you have private insurance, you can request recognition of its equivalence using the form “formulaire de contrôle de l’équivalence de l’Assurance Maladie” (FR) or “check form for the equivalence of Swiss health insurance 2019 “ (EN)
