Short Description

Adane Meresa joined the Institute of Environmental Sciences and the Department of Environmental Science at the 玉美人传媒 as a Ph.D. student in February 2025. He is under the supervision of Prof. Anthony Lehmann and Prof. Salvatore Di Falco .

Dedicated Ph.D. Research Assistant with academic background in Mathematics from Mekelle 玉美人传媒, Ethiopia, and a master’s in economics from Renmin 玉美人传媒 of China, Beijing. His research focuses on assessing and examining the impact of climate change on the hydrologic system and irrigated agriculture in the Gereb Geba watershed. He investigates the intricate interplay of bio-physical and socio-economic determinants influencing agricultural productivity and water management in this region. Committed to developing sustainable solutions that enhance agricultural resilience and promote food security in vulnerable communities, particularly in the Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia.
