MAIN COLLABORATION

MY RESEARCH

My research focuses on alteration, mineral transformation and element transfer in the crust – from low-temperature alteration during zeolite facies to eclogite facies conditions. Phyllosilicates are important monitors of the transformation processes in sedimentary basins, fault-and-thrust belts or during hydrothermal alteration of thick volcanic sequences. Understanding alteration processes in detail helps to reconstruct large-scale and complex geological processes.
