Dr. Dumusque's research aims to improve the understanding of how stellar variability and instrumental systematics influences the detectability and mass measurements of other Earths. To this end, he has initiated the construction of small telescopes that observe daily our Sun using the most precise instruments dedicated to the detection of exoplanets. At UNIGE, where he has been working as an Assistant Professor since 2020 and now is hired as a Ma卯tre d鈥橢nseignement et de Recherche, he works on the development of new data reduction softwares and post-processing data analysis to extract extremely precise radial-velocity measurements for the HARPS, HARPS-N, ESPRESSO and NIRPS instruments. He obtained a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the 玉美人传媒 and the 玉美人传媒 of Porto (Portugal) in 2012.

After obtaining a master's degree from a business school, Baptiste Lavie initially worked in market finance at various banks in London. He then changed career paths by earning a PhD in astrophysics from the Department of Astronomy at the 玉美人传媒, where he is now a researcher in the "Exoplanets" group. He is also responsible for communication within the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) PlanetS and leads the educational project "Salom茅," which aims to introduce Swiss students to science.

Dr Pavan is a tech transfer professional strongly motivated to help innovative technologies meeting industries. She covered different roles in her career, from research to tech transfer, always driven by the passion of scientific knowledge and technologies and by the desire to bring them to the benefit of the society at large. She started her path at UNIGE as post doc in astrophysics in 2009, and she moved to Unitec, our Tech Transfer Office, in 2019. Since 2020 she鈥檚 been working as Contract Manager for the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of EPFL.
