Dr. Patrick NAEF, collaborateur scientifique Patrick Naef a obtenu un doctorat en g茅ographie 脿 l鈥櫛跃北贡鸢蹙背倜� de Gen猫ve en 2014. Apr猫s avoir men茅 des recherches postdoctorales 脿 l鈥櫛跃北贡鸢蹙背倜� de Berkeley de 2014 脿 2016, il est depuis chercheur 脿 l鈥櫛跃北贡鸢蹙背倜� de Gen猫ve. Il collabore 茅galement avec plusieurs collectifs impliqu茅s dans le d茅veloppement culturel et urbain 脿 Gen猫ve et Medellin. Patrick Naef holds a PhD in geography from the 玉美人传媒. After conducting postdoctoral research at the 玉美人传媒 of Berkeley from 2014 to2016, he is now a Senior Associate Researcher at the 玉美人传媒. He is also collaborating with several community organizations active in cultural and urban development in Geneva and Medellin. |

Recherche Patrick Naef m猫ne actuellement un projet de recherche mettant en jeu g茅ographie urbaine, anthropologie et sciences politiques. Dans ce cadre, il conduit des recherches en Colombie et aux Etats-Unis pour d茅construire le nexus entre violence et r茅silience. Il a par exemple men茅 un terrain immersif dans certains quartiers p茅riph茅riques de Medellin, observant comment leurs habitants font face 脿 des contextes de violence quotidienne. Il a explor茅 leurs n茅gociations et r茅sistances associ茅es au contr么le criminel de ces quartiers, en analysant des pratiques telles que l鈥檈xtorsion et la r茅solution de conflits. Il s鈥檌nt茅resse 茅galement 脿 la mani猫re dont la r茅silience et la violence int猫grent des structures de gouvernance globale. Research Patrick Naef is currently leading a research project rooted in urban geography, social anthropology and political sciences. He is carrying out research in various cities in Colombia and the United States to better understand the complex nexus between resilience and violence. He has for instance conducted immersive fieldwork in some of the urban margins of Medellin, looking at how residents cope with non-spectacular and mundane violence. He explored the everyday life of city-dwellers in neighborhoods subject to criminal control, examining their interactions with illegal actors, through practices including extortion and conflict resolutions. He is also interested in the ways urban violence and resilience integrate global governance. |
