Anna Clua is the principal investigator of the Spanish team. She is Lecturer at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), and researcher at the inter-university research group . She holds a PhD on Information Sciences (Autonomous 玉美人传媒 of Barcelona,2001). Visiting researcher at the Department of Film and Media Studies, 玉美人传媒 of Copenhagen, Denmark (1999), and at the Department of Geography, 玉美人传媒 of Durham, UK (2003-2005). Her research has been funded by the Danish and Spanish Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Spanish Ministry of Science and Education, the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, and听 the Spanish Woman Institute, among others. She has co-directed a study on women networking and the Internet in Catalonia (collaboration agreement between the Autonomous 玉美人传媒 of Barcelona and the Catalan Government, 2005). From 2011 to 2012, she was responsible for the Spanish case study in the听 project "Youth Participation in Democratic Life" (European Commission/EACEA/2010/03). Her research interests include media studies, urban studies, gender studies, and social exclusion.

N煤ria Ferran-Ferrer is Lecturer at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) since 2005. She had her European doctoral degree in 2010 at the Universitat Barcelona, with a research stage at Sheffield 玉美人传媒 (2009). She has been Assistant Professor from 2004 to 2008 in the Information Science and Journalism Bachelors at the Universitat Aut貌noma de Barcelona, and she is now teaching at UOC qualitative research methodologies, social media and data journalism.听She is currently involved in the European research project Euryka on the analysis of the youth political participation in social media. Besides she is at present working in other research projects such as the study of youth participation in citizen science (STEM4youth, ), the analysis of open access in science () and researching on the transformation of the experiences of ageing with the new forms of communications in networked societies (ACT,听 ).
Ludovic Terren is Research assistant at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Ludovic holds an MA in International Relations from the 玉美人传媒 of Kent, UK (2012-2013) as well as an MSc in International Public Policy/Security Studies from 玉美人传媒 College London, UK (2013-2014). Before joining the UOC, he worked as a research coordinator on the development of United Cities and Local Governments' Fourth Global Report on Decentralization and Local Democracy (GOLD IV). He is currently working on the European research project EURYKA on youth political participation and social media use, as well as developing a PhD on political deliberation, social media use and polarization.

N煤ria Font-Casaseca is听 Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography, Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and researcher at the inter-university research group . She holds a PhD on Geography (UB, 2018). BSc in Geography, Bsc in Architecture, MSc in Architecture and Heritage (Universidad de Sevilla-IAPH). She is now teaching economic geography and urban studies at Universitat de Barcelona. Her research interests include urban studies, social and health inequalities and critical cartography.
