Duzgun Dogus

Doğuş Düzgün is a PhD research fellow at the ˴ý under the supervision of Prof. Frederic Giraut and with the support of the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for a one-year period. He holds a Bachelor in International Relations (Dokuz Eylül ˴ý) and a Master degree in Political Science (Middle East Technical ˴ý). Now, he is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the Middle East Technical ˴ý.


Research

Doğuş Düzgün studies on the politics of place naming. More specifically, he is interested in the popular reception of place names and bottom-up practices in place naming processes. He is also interested in the international dimension of place names, which have traditionally been conceptualized as local or national phenomena.
