Nolwen is a research and teaching assistant in International Environmental law at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, working on the interaction between science and international environmental regulation in the field of climate change.

She obtained her bilingual European LL.B. in Law at the Lille Catholic ÓñÃÀÈË´«Ã½ (France), before specializing in environmental law, sustainable development, and food security during her LL. M. at Université Laval (Québec, Canada). She then joined the Master’s degree in environmental sciences at the ÓñÃÀÈË´«Ã½, to conduct research on Collaboration with local communities to integrate local and indigenous knowledge within mountain adaptation programs, in Nepal.Ìý

Research interests

Nolwen is interested in the participation of indigenous people in the multilateral climate change regime. She focuses on the integration of indigenous knowledge into climate change adaptation strategies, especially in the context of natural disaster risks, through the prism of international environmental law.Ìý Her work is supervised by Prof. Mbengue.
