Before pursuing her PhD, Alix worked for 3 years at VINCI Energies alongside the Secretary General, where she assessed the indirect GHG emissions of projects, trained colleagues in LCA, and addressed the requirements of the European taxonomy.

In her free time, Alix gazes at the starry skies, immerses herself in books, or dreams of sailing.

Thesis

While Earth Observation data is essential for monitoring environmental changes, its geopolitical application remains underexplored. This research focuses on the mechanisms through which EO data shape international relations in terms of climate governance, particularly North-South relations. It examines EO infrastructures as governance instruments to further explore the positioning of emerging states and the involvement of private entrepreneurs. Key questions addressed include: Are the data harmonized and generalizable? Do they produce shared information? How is knowledge dissemination organized?

Research interests

Climate governance, space policy, Earth observation data, remote sensing, scientific expertise
